About us
The Foundation for a World in Transition is a Washington DC-based non-profit, non-partisan membership organization whose goal is to help decision-makers remain a step ahead of the challenges of our time and shape the future.
The Foundation for a World in Transition has been spearheaded by Louis-Lyonel Voiron, following an early career in Government and public affairs. He has advised governments, international organizations, corporations, investment funds and high net worth individuals in the United States, Europe, Africa, China, Russia and the C.I.S. He is also the author of over 100 projections on the future developments of political, economic and geostrategic events, including the correct outcome of all U.S., Russian, French, German and British elections since 2000 as well as many counter-intuitive and often missed developments or implications of the Iraq War and the 2007 financial crisis.
As a research center, the Foundation for a World in Transition both produces informed analysis and advanced projections intended to current and future policy and business executives, and provides them with executive training to help them seize opportunities and rise to the challenges of their offices.
The Foundation also produces a selection of noteworthy strategic research by think tanks from around the world.
As a public policy forum, the Foundation for a World in Transition encourages open exchanges amongst its members in a confidential setting conductive to the pursuit of strategic dialogue and the settlement of public interest issues.
Its overall ambition is thereby to bring about the imagination much needed for decision-making and policy-planning to rise to the challenges of our world.
Supporting the Sustainable Development Goals
Through its policies and programs, the Foundation for a World in Transition wholeheartedly supports the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The 17 Sustainable Development Goals are the world's best plan to build a better world for people and our planet by 2030. Adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, the SDGs are a call for action by all countries - poor, rich and middle-income - to promote prosperity while protecting the environment. They recognize that ending poverty must go hand-in-hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education, health, equality and job opportunities, while tackling climate change and working to preserve our ocean and forests.
